The outdoor pools are closed for the season. Both the Lakehouse and Lighthouse pools will open on May 27, 2023.
Outdoor Pools
Both community centers have an outdoor swimming pool available for residents in good standing. A Southshore assigned access card is needed to access the outdoor pools.

Pool Staffing
Trained lifeguards are on duty during open swim hours:
- May 27 - August 13, 2023 - 10am-8pm
- August 14 - September 1, 2023
- Monday through Friday 4-8pm
- Saturday and Sunday 10-8pm
- September 2-4, 2023 - 10-8pm
Inclement Weather Policy
For your health and safety, lifeguards have discretion to close the pool during inclement weather including lightning and thunder, thunder only, extreme winds, rain, threatening clouds, tornado warnings, and/or the temperature drops below 65 degrees F (a health department recommendation). The on duty lifeguards’ decisions will be final. Lifeguards and pool monitors follow the guidance from the National Lightning Safety Institute, also recommended by the Red Cross, which is to close the pool for 30 minutes after lightning is spotted or thunder is heard. Swimmers may safely return to the water 30 minutes after the last observance of lightning or thunder.
Guest Passes
Residents are allowed 5 guests per visit. If residents plan to have more than 5 guests they need to contact Front Range to schedule a pool party.
Swim Lessons
Registration opens in late May. Registration and fees are paid directly to Front Range Recreation during the registration process.

The pool area is closed from 8am-10am for maintenance and cleaning. Access cards allow access from 10am-8pm. The pool area may not be occupied outside of these times. Violators will have access privileges revoked.
